Over 500 nonprofit professionals across the country registered for this webinar featuring fundraising leaders Rory Green and Maeve Strathy. Did you miss out? No worries, check out the recording in this course!
Ice bucket challenges, hashtag activism, and ribbons for profile pictures are great, but how do you turn all that digital engagement into real world action and donations?
In this webinar we’ll talk about turning “Likes” into “Loot” in 3 steps:
- Moving online supporters to real-world action
- Move those supporters to regular giving
- Find and cultivate major gifts from those regular supporters
3 steps from “slack” to “act!”
Rory Green – Rory Green has been fundraising since the age of 10, when she volunteered to help run her school’s annual Bike-A-Thon for juvenile cancer research. Fundraising became her vocation at 14, when she lost a friend to Leukemia. Rory Green has been in the philanthropic sector for over eight years and is currently the Associate Director, Advancement for the Faculty of Applied Science at Simon Fraser University. Rory has also worked in major and corporate giving at BCIT and the Canadian Cancer Society. Her passion is donors. How to listen to them. How to talk to them. How to help them feel better about themselves through philanthropy than they ever thought possible. In her spare time Rory is the founder and editor of Fundraiser Grrl, the fundraising community’s go-to source for comic relief.
Maeve Strathy – Maeve Strathy caught the fundraising bug in a sequence of events starting with a need for cash (typical university undergrad predicament) and ending with a position as a student caller at Wilfrid Laurier University. Upon graduation, Maeve was thrilled to be hired by Trinity College School’s advancement office as their Alumni Development Officer. In January 2014, Maeve returned ’’home’’ to her alma mater where she is currently a Development Officer, Annual Giving focused on Leadership Giving. She also runs the site “What Gives Philanthropy”, which is Maeve’s attempt to link together her many passions – philanthropy, fundraising, digital media, and writing.
Andrew Littlefield – Andrew Littlefield is a fundraising marketer for WeDidIt. He spends entirely too much time thinking about online fundraising and how organizations can fundraise better using online tools. Thankfully, Andrew has a healthy outlet for all those thoughts: the WeDidIt Fundraising Blog! That’s where he helps fundraisers do their jobs even better by making helpful resources like blog posts, downloadable books, and webinars like this one.
